Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 04/28/2024

Number: 2

Still seeing 2 rubythroats. First one came around 7:30 a.m. nectaring from flowerbed of purple gurantica. Then followed by a real young one 8 a.m. with hardly a tail. Trying to nectar from back door potted purple porterweed. Sparrow spooked it out.

One went to Style Selections Gravity Cherry Glass feeder. Getting somewhere with trying new feeder styles.

I had to plant over grown potted 'Rokin deep purple' salvia that attracts them right off. Found a hanging basket of "Hummingbird Falls' to put in same place of Rockin. It's a dead ringer of Rokin deep purple and the brownish hummingbird found it to nectar from around 8:45 a.m.
