Submitted by Don Davis: Noted birdwatcher Brandon Holden reports: "A group of us had a Monarch fly south off the tip of Point Pelee yesterday midday. Close range (only a few feet away) and it continued south off the tip... I tried to snap a few photos of it flying away, which likely won't show much (even if I did manage to capture it) but I will send them your way if they show anything once I get the chance to check them on my computer." Not the earliest record for Point Pelee National Park, with sightings in years past on April 12, April 27 (2) and April 29 - up to 2016.
