Milkweed (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/01/2024

60 degrees. Common milkweed an inch high coming up in between patio bricks. This first shoot was spotted on a day where a cabbage white and a question mark butterfly were seen flying around knee high. Dandelions are nectar sources in the lawn. Good rain the last week or so, more on the way tonight and into tomorrow.

Finally, a normal precipitation spring following the brown winter. :)

Nearby are blooming bleeding hearts and a past bloom Star Magnolia bush.
