I put this hummingbird feeder up yesterday after I saw the hummingbird go to the orange platform feeder in the top of this picture. Haven’t managed to capture a photograph of a hummingbird yet. Was using my Merlin audio app to identify any interesting birds out the window, when I saw Baltimore Oriole pop up on the screen. I grabbed the phone as I heard his chatter call while he descended to the feeder. Please note that my nectar is made with organic sugar, not white sugar, so the nectar does not appear clear. While typing this, I just had another visitor. A male with very deep orange colouration. So definitely at least two. Weather is unseasonably warm and we have had a pretty good southwest wind for a couple days now. Going to have to put out my jam in the jam feeder for tomorrow.
