I barely had the feeder out when a male showed up - I heard the hum of wings before I saw him. This is the earliest date since I've been feeding the hummingbirds. It was quite possible there were two or three passing through as the afternoon went on, but I think at least one is staying here for the summer as I saw one several times so far today.
