Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 05/17/2024

Number: 1

Today I observed a female ruby-throat nectaring from my last blooming deciduous azalea. This is only the second time that I've seen a hummer feeding from flowers, although there have been plenty of azalea blossoms available since they arrived. The flowers of geraniums, tropical hibiscus and columbine have also been available, but the hummers have been concentrating more on the feeders when in the vicinity of my house and yard.
