Challenge Question #1
Joan Berger, East Hills School, Roslyn, NY (K12ROBZJ@vaxc.hofstra.edu)
Fri, 14 Feb 1997 08:06:05 -0400 (EDT)
This is from Jake Kimmelman and Valerie Glibbery, the manatee team from Mrs.
Berger's 5th grade class:
The scientists mobilized quickly to conduct the aerial survey when the cold
front arrived because it meant that the manatee would begin to move to get away
from the cold. They had to be sure that they were there when they began to
move south.
Also bad weather and storms could accompany the cold front and
make it difficult to track the manatee.
