    Dear Journey North,
    Our answer to the question is because whales have alot of blubber. If you
    took the blubber off a whale, it would be alot smaller than its real size.
    If you took the blubber off a manatee, it would be about the same size.
    Blubber keeps
    marine mammals warm in cold water.
