We have been waiting for robins to arrive here in Crested Butte Colorado,
elevation 8,888. We think males come first to stake out territories, to
compete for females and because if the females came now they would not be
able to have babies because they would freeze! Last week's isotherm was
only 10 F. The robins are within 15 miles so we have predicted March 19.
Wish us warmth. From Bobby Pogoloff's third grade.
