We are students in grade six, in Mrs. Thaxters class. We live in
Lethbridge Alberta. Groundhogs do not live in our area, they live in
northern Alberta. We found out a little abouot them. In northern
Alberta, the groundhogs come out at about mid-April, when the grass is
green and there is something to eat. The ground squirrel in our area,
came out of hibernation at about January 27. They are found in Canada
    and the eastern mid-west states.
