    Challenge Question #1

    Nancy Heilman (nheilman@oak.kcsd.k12.pa.us)

My name is Andy Rosamilia and I am in the 7th grade at Lock
Haven Junior High School. I like fishing, Soccer, hunting, and other
sports. My favorite subjects are Science and English. I have been on
vacation to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Norway, England, and Canada. I
hope to go to Alaska this summer.I also like Art a lot.

The challenge question sent to me was quite hard. I believe the
soil temperature was between 25 degrees and 30 degrees. The reason I
only have a range is because I feel it would depend on whether the soil
was frozen before the snowfall or after, the insulation temperature of
snow, and what the weather has been like. After confrencing with two
science teachers in my school these are my conclusions.

If anyone has an idea on how to figure this out please contact
    me through Ms. Heilman's address.
