Challenge Question #5Jay S Phillips (jsphilli@access.k12.wv.us)Thu, 27 Mar 97 15:37:10 PST
We are a third grade class at Kanawha Elementary in Davisville, West Virginia. We have an answer for this question. We think that the tulips emerged early in Minneapolis because we thought that they might have put plastic over the tulip bed to keep in the heat. That would be a question that a reporter might ask. Other questions a reporter might ask is: 1) When did you plant the tulips? 2) Is your tulip bed close to a building? 3) Did you ever remove the snow from the tulip bed? 4) Did the sun shine a lot during the winter months? 5) Are there any plumbing or heating pipes underground near the tulip bed?
