Peregrine Falcon video monitoring by HS students

Audubon Society of New Hampshire (nhaudubon@igc.apc.org)
    Thu, 20 Feb 1997 16:02:06 -0500

I am interested in connecting with teachers interested in tapping into
remote video networks to monitor Peregrine falcons. The Audubon
Society of New Hampshire has been working with Nynex, Continental
Cablevision, a local TV station in Manchester, NH, and the local
school district. We have a camera in place that can be controlled by
students in their classrooms to search the city for the wintering
falcons and record data for our wildlife department. Many cities have
nesting peregrines, many with camera access already in place. ASNH is
looking to expand our project and connect NH students with students in
other parts of the globe to share data and experience as part of the
learning process. If you are currently using a video monitoring
network for student program or are interested in doing so, please get
    in touch!
