Oh, the excitement that was caused when one of my sixth grade students
figured out that because his mystery class has the same photoperiod as our
town that the latitude must be the same. From there, with a little
prompting he also realized that by comparing the sunrise time to ours he
knew approximately what time zone his mystery class is in......
