I was curious about the Symbolic Migration. I teach 2nd grade in a
Catholic School in New York City. In this months issue of a magazine
called, Instructor, it outlined the project known as the symbolic
Migration. This project involved sending paper butterflies to children
in Mexico, and then getting return butterflies from them. The only
information that I found was from the 1996 project. Is there a current
one? Please let me know if this project still exists or if there is a
similar one out there. I find this topic very interesting. My children
would enjoy learning more about butterflies and would also get to
correspond with other students in Mexico.
