HI,
I have been reading the Ask the Expert page. Is there a certain time
that you can ask the scientist questions? I live in Alabama and enjoy
watching migrating eagles that come into Guntersville, Alabama which has
a very large lake where they feed. We can watch the eagles on a mountain
side where they nest. I saw two mature eagles and about 7 brown ealges,
which were the younger ones in December. They are said to migrate from
Michigan and upper Canada. My question is, has he had in experience in
tagging any of the birds that migrate to Alabama in the winter. They
usually leave in January or early February. With Spring weather here in
the south, I imagine they have already headed north. Please let me know
if I can submit this at a special time? Thanks for forwarding my
question and instructions to ask the expert. Evelyn Kelley, Birmingham,
