Whales that winter in the Caribbean

My class and I are celebrating the International Year of the Ocean by studying
marine life. We recently learned about the migratory pattern of the gray
whales from Alaska to Baja. Then we found out about the proposed saltworks for
Laguna San Ignacio, the last unspoiled breeding/calving ground in the area,
and we wrote letters of protest. Have you heard anything about the plan?
We'd like to learn more about the whales on the Atlantic Coast. In social
studies the children are learning about the Caribben Islands, so I thought I'd
make the lessons intrerdiscipinary by adding some info on the whales of the
Caribbean. Yours is the first website I've found to list Caribbean locations
like Silver Bank. Can you help me with more information about where the whales
give birth in this area. Is their breeding ground undisturbed and safe from
obstacles like ship traffic, etc? Let me know if you can help us with
information and activities. Thanks from New Jersey. JandGK@AOL.com
