*Note: Site 2 seems to be a problem. The Longitude clue (Equinox data,
March 20) and data from March 2 to April 20th suit Ruse, as does the
"near River Danube" clue. However the data for Feb 9, 16, 23 and for Mar 23
fit the town of Berkovitsa in Western Bulgaria much better. We wonder if
there was a mix-up here?

It was a wonderful challenge. The class worked as 5 teams competitively
before combining their answers in a "final" class version. Extensive use
was made of a very wide range of research techniques. Ten fine needles in
the world's biggest haystack!
