Our class had several guesses . We thought robins winter at
California ,Utah ,Texas, Florida , Arizona , and Mexico.
Robins winter in southeast California, the very southern part of
Nevada, and southwestern Arizona. They also winter in the very
southern part of Texas. They migrate into Mexico also.
Sources: (1) Book of North America, p. 119, Readers Digest, c.
1990. (2) Golden Book, A Guide to Field Identification,
Birds of North America. p. 230. Golden Press, New York.
c. 1966
Please note: In the last book listed we also found that
robins winter all across the lower 48 states and Mexico except the
Baja Peninsula.
