Challenge Question # 1
The students in the Mrs. Stock's fourth grade class At Glen Hills School ,
Cranston,R.I., researched and discussed the El Nino effect here in New
England .
We have discovered that the average temperature this winter has been warmer
than usual. We have had a lot of rain but, very little snow. We are
worried that our tulips might be fooled into sprouting too soon. Then we
might get some cold temperatures and the sprouts would be damaged, so we
wouldn't get tulips that would bloom.
