We measured the distance from latitude 30N to Angangueo and came up with
approximately 753 more miles for the Monarchs to travel.

To predict when the leading edge would reach Angangueo, we measured the
distance the Monarchs had traveled already from Portland, Maine on about
September 1, to latitude 30N on October 6. We came up with a distance of
about 1750. Counting from September 1 till October 6 is 5 weeks or 35 days.
We divided 35 days into the 1750 miles traveled and cmae up with an avergae
daily speed of about 50 miles a day. Dividing the 50 miles/day speed into
the 752 miles left to travel gave us 15 more traveling days left till
arriving Angangueo from October 6. This would put the leading edge of
Monarchs in Angangueo on about October 21.
