Dear Journey North,
After discussing this second question, the class was
asked to break up into two groups. Either they
believed or did not believe when the tulips were
planted makes a difference as far as when they emerge.
Then each group had to come up with reasons to
support their guess. Next, the two groups shared
their reasons with the entire class.
Finally, after sharing their thoughts, the group that
said, NO it does not matter when if the bulbs were
planted in early September or late October convinced
the other group that they are probably correct.
The climate of each town will help decide which bulbs
grow first. Our class actually planted the bulbs
first. if our grow first then We were wrong.
Especially because we are in New York and there are
many towns south of us
Sincerely,
Bryan Giudice
