    Challenge Question #20
"Why do you think loons, who eat small and medium-sized fish, have had fewer
problems with environmental contaminants than have eagles, who eat large
    fish?"

Because the large fish have more toxins than the small and medium fish. The
small fish ate 1000 grams of green algae, and 100 grams of water flea and 10
grams of Dragonfly nymph. The medium fish ate 10,000 grams of green algae,
and 1000 grams of water flea and 100 grams of Dragonfly nymph and 10 grams of
little fish. This is what the loons are eating. The large fish ate 100,000
grams of green algae and 10,000 grams of water flea and 1,000 grams of
Dragonfly nymph and 100 grams of little fish and 10 grams of medium fish.
Everything in the water can absorb the toxins and the large fish are eating a
lot more things that have toxins in them. That is why the eagles get more
    toxins.
