    Boat strikes ma be decreasing because new laws have been
    made and people are becoming more aware of manatees. Some
    places are blocked off for the manatee's protection. In
    some areas, boats are only allowed to go a certain speed.
    Another idea our class had was that since the population of
    manatees is decreasing, there are fewer manatees to hit.
    Hopefully in the future, more manatees will survive the wild
    and be able to live free of worries.
