In addition to boat collisions manatees can die from many other things.
They can die from natural causes like hurricanes or unexpected cold water
temperatures like an early winter. Also old age. Some human related causes
are theydie in nets set by trappers and poachers killing them off. As well as
malnutritution because of fishing boats catching to much fish so the manatess
don't have enough to eat. I think the biggest killer would be hurricanes or
enexpected cold waters like an early winter. The smallest i would have to
say would be poachers. Becasue no a days there are huge fines and don't think
any one is going to try to cheat the law and lill a manatee now a days.
