    Dear Journey North,

We have studied only three mystery classes. These are our guesses. We
are third graders at Rockledge Elementary School.

    #4 Quito, Equador Lat - 0S 13 Long- 78.5W 30

    #8 McMurdo Station, Antarctica Lat - 77S 50 Long- 166.75E

    #9 Brussels, Belgium Lat - 50N 50 Long - 4E 20

We learned how to solve the photo period. We now know how to find the
latitude and longitude of places on the globe. We learned how to use an
atlas, a globe, Encyclopedias, and the Internet. We learned that in
Belgium they speak three languages, McMurdo Station has 24 hours of
daylight at least part of the year, and Quito has a volcano and is near
the equator. We loved doing the project. We are planning some related
virtual field trips and power point slides.
