For CHALLENGE QUESTION # 20, we found out that for Monarch butterfly # 1 it is FADE =2 which means that it has no holes,no tattering, but it is beginning to have missing scales to cause fade. This butterfly is probably from the over-wintering populations in the U.S. The Monarch butterfly # 2 is FADE =0 which means that it is new and recently emerged. And Monarch butterfly # 3 is FADE=4 which means it is very faded,it has some tattering and holes, the orange is turning gray, the black is turning to charcoal, but it is not yet transparent or " ghostly".These Monarchs are probably from the Mexican Sanctuaries. This is our answer for CHALLENGE QUESTION # 20.
