I think tree swallows can survive colder temperatures because they sleep in
more protected areas to prevent them from the cold. Also there eating
habitats might make a difference. They might have slow metabolism or can
store there food some sort of way. Also there body just might be built so
they can stand the cold longer than other swallows Also they might be able to
get more nutrition out of there food than other swallows.
