We had many different responses of how growing tuplips was like baking a
cake. Here are just a few...

tulips need--bulbs, food, shovels, dirt, water bake--sun rays
cakes need--ingredients, spoon, pan, water bake--oven
They both need ingredients, mixing, and baking, one thing that's different
is that tulips grow year after year. -Dani

They both have to rise to reach their goal. -James

You have to let it grow or bake for a certain time and have the right soil
    or ingredients. -Amy

On a cake you mix all your ingredients together and on a tulip you mix soil,
bulb, and food together. When you bake a cake it has to be at the right
temperature to bake, with a tulip you have to have a reasonable temperature
for it to grow. When you make a cake it rises. When the temperature for
the tulip is right, it rises too! -Caitlin
