    Tom:

What do cranes look for when searching for a safe place to spend the night?

my answer is: an open area (preferably in shallow water) so they can detect any night predators.

if I can ask Tom a question ..... are you still scheduled to be the speaker at the May 17 Aransas Bird and Nature Club? If so, a couple of your old friends will be there.

    Thanks,
    Marcie & John Wilcox
