    Eagles use their talons to catch fish and small birds for their young. They
    want to do this as quickly as they can. They use the talons because talons
    have muscles on each toe which gives them a better grip. They also have an
    opposable toe for a good grip. The beak is not opposable and is probably
    not wide enough to get a grip on its prey. The beak is used as a weapon and
    to tear open the prey.
