    Post meridiem
    Post meridiem means after noon.It is usually used in the abbreviated
    form P.M. or p.m. to specify the hour. It comes from Latin: post means
    after and meridiem means midday.

    Ante meridiem
    Before noon. It is mainly used in the abbreviated form A.M. to specify
    the hour. It comes from Latin:ante means before tand meridiem is the
    accusative of meridies, midday.
