The similarities of a whale's fin and a human's hand are this: in the water while we are swimming it propels us to move in the water and the same goes for whales. The other similarity is that our hands are a type of weapon if we make it into a fist and hit someone hard enough. That's just like a gray whale swinging it's tail hard enough it can knock out a shark easy. The differences are: that the whale's fins are shaped different than human hands. Whale fins are shaped like two triangles put together with a big body attached to it. Human hands on the other hand are shaped like a big spider with an arm attached to it. Also they can't move just a certain part of their fin, they have to move the whole fin.
