I think that if the crows arrive earlier at the bait for the eagles that
the crows alert the eagles with their noise and eating and help to keep
other animals away from the bait. But, if the crows are the only ones
eating and the eagle doesn't show up, then I suppose other animals come
anyway to eat the bait.
