Hello Mystery Classrooms!
At Westwood Elementary in Fairview, Tennessee, our third grade gifted education groups located several Mystery Classes. We did not locate all ten classrooms, because we only had one hour a week to work with our teacher, Ms. Goforth. Instead, we divided into 3 teams and researched 3 Mystery Classrooms. Here s what we think about the locations of our Mystery Classrooms:
Mystery Class # 3 is located at Tampere, Finland. Latitude is 61 degrees, 30 N; Longitude is 23 degrees, 45 E
Mystery Class # 8 is located at Balikpapan, Indonesia. Latitude is 1 degree, 16 60S; Longitude is 116 degrees, 49 60E.
Mystery Class # 9 is located at Cape Town, South Africa. Latitude is 33 degrees, 55 South; Longitude is 18 degrees, 25 E.
We d like to say thank you for this project. It was difficult, and the places were hard to find. Sometimes we thought the location was in a different country than it really was! The one in South Africa was hard to find, but the REALLY hard one was Balikpapan in Indonesia! We hope we re right about the locations. Thank you for bringing this activity to us; it was fun!
