Mrs. Nunnally's second grade class at Peter Woodbury School in Bedford, NH predicted the monarch's winter weather. We predicted the daytime temperature would be 80 degrees F and the night temperature would be 60 degrees. We found that the actual daytime temperature was 13 degrees cooler than we predicted and the night temperature was 25 degrees cooler than we predicted. When we discussed why we thought the actual temperature was cooler than we predicted, we remembered that the monarchs are at a high elevation in the mountains and this would make the temperature lower.
