Based on Eagleye's report, something that keeps the eggs from getting cracked by the sharp sticks
is the egg shell. The shell of the eagle egg is probably hard enough not to break by being hit by
sticks. Other possible reasons would be that the eagles keep their bowl shaped nests safe and
orderly so that the eggs don't get harmed by the sharp sticks. The nests contain soft vegetation
and fresh greenery or leaves, mosses, cornstalks, and Spanish moss. The eagle nest is also very deep.
