If the Earth's axis did not tilt, then our seasons and over-all climate would be costant through out the en tire year. Depending on the tilt, the northern hemisphere would be cold, with winter-like weather year round. And the exact opposite would go for the southern hemisphere. Life in general, as we know it, would be extremely different.
