I am Carin Hauser, and I teach Grade 3 at Churchill Road Elementary in McLean, VA.
Here are our answers for Challenge Question #8: Where in the world do you think our 10 Mystery sites are located?
Location 1: Lome, Togo Latitude; 8.00° N; Longitude 1.25° E
Location 2: Geelong, Victoria, Australia; Latitude: 38.16° S; Longitude: 144.25° E
Location 3: Galway, Ireland; Latitude 53° N; Longitude 9° W
Location 4: Hamilton, Canada; Latitude 43° N; Longitude 79.50° W
Location 6: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan: Latitude: 46° N; Longitude: 74.5° E Location 7: Scott Base in Antarctica (country - New Zealand); Latitude: 77.55° S; Longitude: 166.45° E
Location 8: Wales, Alaska, U.S.A; Latitude: 65° N; Longitude: 168° W Location 10: Djupivogur, Iceland; Latitude: 64.40° N; Longitude: 14.15° W
Our class did not pursue locations #5 and #9. We did have great fun with this fabulous project.
