Isotherm migrates across the continent as temperatures warm in spring time. The robins also migrate across the continent. Since this isotherm moves it is easier for the robins to keep track of where they are through this movement. Robins like staying in cold weather and so when it gets warmer than 36 degrees, they like to go further north by continuing with this cold isotherm.
