According to our calculations, Jackson, Mississippi is at 33 degrees North latitude. Madison,
Wisconsin, on the other hand, is at 42.5 degrees North latitude. After subtracting these two
numbers, we reached a distance of 9.5 degrees in latitude. If there is a 2 week delay for
every 5 degrees, we then estimate that it will take about 4 weeks and 4 days until robins
in Madison, Wisconsin begin laying eggs.
