More Tulips Emerging
More Tulip Test Gardens are emerging, and some Journey North gardeners are even reporting first blooms. This spring, report from your garden twice: when tulips emerge and when tulips bloom.
Spring is Almost Here
The spring equinox is just a few weeks away, and tulips are a sure sign that spring is almost here. Spring’s arrival means variable weather across North America, yet no matter rain or shine, tulips bring a smile to all who see them.
Rana in Cleveland, OH: "Hooray! The 2nd graders at Birchwood School of Hawken checked their Tulip Test Garden and 17 of their 27 tulip bulbs have emerged! Most were about a 1/2 inch high. They are looking forward to checking them again next week to see if they grew or any of the others emerged." (03/02/2022)
Jennifer in Newtown Square, PA: "Our kindergarteners were excited to visit the garden and see tiny red tulip shoots." (03/02/2022)
Heather in Hamilton, GA: "Reporting from Park Elementary in Hamilton, Georgia. The weather is warm and 65 degrees. It is sunny. There are no clouds. We have two tulips bloomed and see four more about to open. We planted 50 in all. Our leaves are nice and tall." (03/02/2022)
