Dear Friends,
Our class received Symbolic Butterflies that were cared for this winter by
Mexican students
named Rosa and Esmeralda of Angagueo, Mexico. They spent the winter in
Mexico clustered with butterflies from 8 different states and
provinces. Here are the schools where the butterflies we received came from:
Highview Elementary, Nanuet, New York
DeMiguel Elementary, Flagstaff, Arizona
Bret Harte Elementary, Chicago, IL
Cape Cod Academy, Osterville, MA
Kinkaid Lower School, Houston, TX
Advent Parish Day School, Tallahassee, FL
ESC.Sec.Tec. No 81, Saltillo, Mexico
No School Name, Beverly, NJ
Our class is happy to report the butterflies had a successful
migration. We are anxiously awaiting to learn the location of our
butterflies. The symbolic migration has been a great enrichment to our
life cycle unit as well as our environmental studies.
