Dear Friends:
My kindergarten class at Adams Elementary is very excited about the 20
butterflies we received in the mail. Our butterflies were cared for this
winter by a Mexican student named Ancelmo Blancas at School - Secundaria
Tecnica No. 2. The butterflies spent the winter in Mexico clustered with
beautiful butterflies from 11 different states. If you would like to
send a letter to our Mexican student, you can mail it to: Journey North
Mexico, c/o German Medina, Avenida Morelos #80, Angangueo, Michoacan
61411 Mexico.
Here are the schools where the butterflies we received came from:
Bristol Elementary School, Bristol, Vt (3 butterflies from Perlee's
class)
Texas (no school address)
Village Elementary School, Emporia, Kansas
North End School, Cedar Grove, NJ
Harrison, Livingston, NJ (2 butterflies from Mrs. Bellomo's 2nd grade
class)
Deane Porter School, Rumson, NJ
Magothy River Middle School, Arnold, MD (2 butterflies - Mrs.
Cadwalder's class)
Hollyrood School, Portland, Oregon (2 butterflies from The Tiger Class)
** Irwin Elementary, Lapeer, MI
**Edinburg Attendance Center, Carthage, MS
**York Middle School, York, Nebraska
**CHEA, Altoona, PA
**Stovall Academy, Houston, Texas
**Oak Park Elementary, Stillwater, MN (monarch paper puzzles from 2nd
graders)
**These butterflies were tagged with an orange tag by tourists to the
sanctuary in Mexico.
We also received a butterfly made by a student in northern Mexico (
Saltillo, Coah.)
