Dear Friends,
Our 4th grade class at Cumberland School in Sunnyvale, CA received 27
beautiful butterflies that were cared for by two students in Mexico named
Vieyra Diaz and Marco Antonio. We, also, received a beautiful green tagged
butterfly made at Elisea Loera Salasav, Escuela Secundaria Tec. #81,
Saltillo, Coah, Mexico, by a student that lives on the migration pathway in
Mexico.
They spent the winter with butterflies from 21 different cities and
provinces. The three classes here at Cumberland that participated in the
symbolic migration have put up a big map of the United States in our library
and have put your butterflies on the wall around the map, and then put a
string from your butterfly to your city. It is great to see where all the
butterflies have come from.
