    The 6th grade Science students in West Iron County feel that maybe the
    amount of milkweed available to the Monarchs is decreasing. They feel this
    decrease in their food supply could be caused by the following: Pollution
    (pesticides or smog),Destruction of the habitat where milkweed grows (new
    construction), flooding and fires. Another reason that they feel could
    have affected the monarchs this year is the weather becoming too cold too
    fast. The butterfly may not have finished it's metamorphisis
