    This was a challenging question for my class, since we have studied
    neither time nor fractions yet this year. We're glad we gave it a try,
    though, because we learned that miles per hour doesn't mean how far or how
    long, it means how fast! That's an important thing to know.

    After everyone tried it on their own for a while, we all worked on it
    together and Miss Bailey helped.

    We rounded some of the numbers to make it easier. Our answer is that the
    Arkansas monarch was travelling about two mile per hour.
