The students in the Hickory Room at Belle Sherman School in Ithaca, NY
didn't arrive at one agreed upon answer to this question. Many in the
class thought that the different locations of the sites would account
for the different dates for equal day and night. Another thought that
which side of the equator the site was on would make a difference.
Still others thought that the sun was just a bit off or that the way the
earth turns - maybe with a wobble, would cause the differences.
