MC Entry 2002. Mr Ward's OAC (Grade 13) World Issues Class; Ajax HS, Ontario, Canada.

    MC#1 Homer, Alaska, USA 59d 38m N.; 151d 30m W.
MC#2 South Pole, Antarctic Territory 90d S.; Undefined Longitude
    MC#3 San Juan, Puerto Rico 18d 27m N., 66d 04m W.
    MC#4 Lima Peru 12d 02m S., 77d 02m W.
    MC#5 Agana, Guam 13d 28m N., 144d 45m E.
    MC#6 Thessaloniki, Greece 40d 38m N., 22d 57m E.
    MC#7 Khumjung, Nepal 27d 50m N., 86d 42m E.
    MC#8 Froya Island, Norway 63d 46m N., 8d 48m E.
    MC#9 San Ignacio, Belize 17d 09m N., 89d 03m W.
    MC#10 Kigoma Tanzania 4d 52m S., 29d 37m E.

    Notes:
MC#2: Nominally the South Pole station observes a Local Time of GMT+12 hours, which translates to 180d E. or W.
MC#5: The University of Guam (in clue) is located in Mangilao, a suburb of Agana, on tiny Guam.
MC#8: The SR/SS line implies the NE corner of Froya Island, close to the village of Nes. But the detail is insufficient to nail this location down further. Froya, or Freya, is spelt with the Norse "phi"-like character (an O with a line through it). She is the Norse goddess of love, and we assume you want the island.
MC#9: No location in Belize can be both 10 miles from the west border and 25 miles from the capital, so this may either be something we haven't been smart enough to figure out, or else a deliberate error designed to make us think even harder than usual!

I appear to have been interred with insufficient burial goods in my
last incarnation and I am certainly not repeating *that* mistake .....
