We think that the cranes have produced the most babies in the years 1997-1998. These babies, since cranes start reproducing at age 4 or 5, will probably start reproducing in the years 2002-2003. They will produce a significant mumber of young between years 2003-2004. If their winter food is doing well, we can expect that the populatiion of the cranes will increase.
